I would like to take a trip to Italy with my family
I saw that in Romagna there are many theme parks for children
I want to know if some one has already visited this country
do you know a great family hotel where I can stay with my children?

I live in Le Marche, just south of Emilia Romagna. I wouldn't need a hotel to visit there, but I would recommend using www.booking.com to find a hotel. If you want a family room, state that you want one room, and enter the number of adults and the number of children. (You have to choose "other options" to see this possibility.) I would enter the name of a town, perhaps Riccione or Rimini. Rimini is bigger and more touristy, while Riccione is smaller and more family-oriented. Cattolica is another popular destination for families.

I don't know how old your kids are, but we once (about five years ago) took our grandchildren to Fiabilandia. We got there just as the gates were opening, and had to drag them away in tears when they were closing. It might be boring or "babyish" for kids over about 8 or 9, though. Other amusement parks focus more on the adolescent age group, and it was nice to find a park so well adapted to little kids.

The amusement parks are all along the beach, and the beach in Emilia Romagna is very popular in the summer, so you may find lots of crowds in August. We were there in May.

Two other parks, that I've never visited, but that are very popular with kids near where I live, are Acquafan (a water park) and Oltremare, right next to Acquafan, and focused on nature and the environment; also Mirabilandia, an amusement park more for older kids than Fiabilandia.

Oltremare has dolphin shows, and for that reason I wouldn't go there.

Other theme parks that are very popular and have not been mentioned are:
Italia in Miniatura, Rimini, http://www.italiainminiatura.com/en
Acquario di Cattolica, http://www.acquariodicattolica.it/
Mirabilandia, Ravenna, http://mirabilandia.it/en

I personally wouldn't say that Rimini is more touristy than Riccione. It's just much bigger so it has got nicer area and not so nice ones.
It is also a Roman town with some great monuments.
And it's easier for transport, since all the fast trains stop here.

There's also lots of other places that people prefer for different reasons like Cesenatico (still has got the small fishing village feeling), Gabicce (great views over the coast from the top of the hill), etc.

So really difficult to recommend one over the other.

Actually, I did mention Mirabilandia.

Italia in Miniatura, a miniature landscape with famous Italian monuments and attractions, might have limited interest for a non-Italian child. I don't know if an acquarium is what Annabramb was looking for; I've never been there, so can't give an opinion on it.

Sorry bvlenci, I missed the Mirabilandia reference.

I think Italia in Miniatura is great for kids of any nationality: there's a bit called Little Europe with miniatures of monuments from other parts of Europe.
But the main attraction for my nieces was the monorail that goes around the park, the ride through Little Venice and especially the water game, a ride on "wooden" logs (bring clothes change!)

The Acquario di Cattolica is very good as well especially since they changed management.
