trip to celebrate tunring 50
Taking a trip at the end of October to celebrate turning 50. I've been to London a few times as well as Florence and Amsterdam. Looking for destination ideas that keep in mind the funds must be watched closely. Plan on staying 7 to 10 days.
Help me bring in 50 with a BANG!

Two ideas come to mind considering both late Oct. climate and budget considerations----Sicily and Portugal.
Portugal is sill the best value in western Europe. In that short time you could easily enjoy 3 destinations in Portugal and have a great time.

I am assuming because you didn't mention it, that you have not been to Paris...so I would go there and maybe a day trip or two to the Loire, Giverny, and/or Reims
runner up for me, Venice...2-3 days there is enough

Hi,
I did exactly the same as you will do a few weeks ago. I went to Kyiv and Odesa in Ukraine and it was awesome. However, climate in late October isn't that great, at least not in Kyiv.
I could easily vote for Portugal. I've been to Lisbon and southern Portugal (Algarve coast) and both are really nice. Another option could be Madeira which is great.
Istanbul is a great destination with lots to see and do and fairly cheap. Temperature is fine in October though be prepared to receive some rain.
My final vote goes to Istanbul! If you want, you can combine it with a few days on the Mediterranean coast.
