Working through the trip report. It is detailed with pictures so if you don't like that sort of thing, this trip report is not for you! So far I've covered Nice and the start of our Provence leg: http://www.markandmonica.com/Travel/France2012/France.htm

And as always, thanks to those who helped plan this trip. This time I relied so much on the advice I got here. I was so busy at work that I'd post something like "recommendations for hotels in Nice", get four, and book one. And it worked great!
Heading that way in 3 weeks, so I am very interested in your findings! Thanks.
FYI - the date on the Aix page is wrong .S/B Sunday July 29th.
Fun read!
Thanks, I fixed it!
Sounds great so far. We went in October 2009, and are going back to Paris, St. Remy and Nice this October, so I'm really enjoying your impressions and adventures.
Looks like you got the most out of each town -- and I know the weather was good, because up in Paris we were were jealous of it during the entire terrible month.
Yes, the weather was good, maybe even a little bit too good! Only one evening of rain the whole trip. And we left Paris the very day that heat wave started.
Three more days of the report completed (Avignon, Pont du Gard, Orange and the start of our Lyon visit).
Nice post. Thanks for sharing.
Very enjoyable report. I liked the format with all of your family photos inserted as it made the text come alive.

It's finally finished!! The trip report of our 3.5 week trip to France. http://www.markandmonica.com/Travel/France2012/France.htm
ttt for later
I really enjoyed your trip. You were right about the shot of Notre Dame through the rose arch. It was a terrific shot!
My husband and I are just arguing about who spotted that shot first (it was me!)
