trip report advice

We are traveling to spain for 12 days and with all your help I am closer to finalizing the details.
Can you tell me if this is a good idea?
My daughter is in Seville and we will be arriviing 5 days before she is ready to travel with us. so
We will arrive in Granada for 3 days then maybe travel to ronda overnight.
Travel to Seville for 4 nights from ronda with a day trip to cordova.
next on to barcelona for 4 nights.
The question is I am not sure how to get from granada to ronda. Is it possible to have a driver? or should we take a bus? Also, how long would the drive take? so much to know.....

A car and driver will be expensive, a lot more than traveling by bus, especially if you require an English speaking driver.

Don't know about a bus, but I looked it up on Mappy, and it is about a 3 hour 15 minute drive for the 175km. Mappy also says it would cost you over €27 for gas. I would imagine a car and driver would cost a bunch. Perhaps someone else could help you with the cost of a bus or train.

Here is a bit more information I found on a Trip Advisor thread:

"The return train, the Regional Express #03063 running from Algeciras to Granada, stops in Ronda with a 08:50 departure time, arriving in Granada at 11:28. The second is the #03077 on the same run, departing Ronda at 14:05, arriving in Granada at 16:54. The third is the #03065, departing Ronda at 17:26, arriving in Granada at 20:10.

To check the train schedule, go to the Renfe Site (http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/ingles.html) and enter the city you want to travel from where is says "I want to travel fromquot; You will then be directed to a page that ask you to pick your departure city and then your arrival city. The Ronda to Granada, or visa versa, will then appear and you can see the schedule."

Hope this helps.

Can we expect a 'Trip Report' when you return?

It seems there is no direct Bus, but there is direct train. Check this page: http://horarios.renfe.es/hir/index.j...amp;image2.y=1

thanks for all the comments. I saw a post on yahoo that suggested taking the train from granada to cordoba staying overnight then train to ronda for an overnight.
this seems apossibility but I hope it is not too much running around. It does leave us 2.5 days in seville.
still thinking
