Trip Report Trip Report - 10 days in Barcelona, Costa Brava and Madrid

Jump to last reply

Hello everyone, trip report of our May/June trip to Barcelona, Costa Brava and Madrid on http://rebeccasnyder.com/10-days-barcelona-costa-brava-and-madrid.htm

10 day itinerary was:

4 nights– Barcelona (Urban Suites), with a day trip to Montserrat
4 nights – Girona (Hotel Nord 1901), with day trips around the Costa Brava
2 nights – Madrid (Room Mate Mario)

My original itinerary had us spending a night in La Sue d’Urgell but we abandoned this idea after arriving in Barcelona and were lucky to be able to add another night to our stay there. A great decision that gave us plenty of time for hikes at Montserrat and another relaxing night in the apartment.

There are so many interesting places to visit in the Costa Brava and, aside from our reservation at the Dali House in Port Lligat, we let the mood of the day pick our driving destinations.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions on what to do, it was terrific to have plenty of ideas to choose from!
