Trenitalia Extends Service Hours at Firenze SMN Station

In a press release today, Trenitalia announces longer service hours at Firenze SMN Station:

Staffed ticket windows: 6 - 21

Customer Assistance Office (track 5): 7 - 22:45

Freccia mobile desks: 6:30 - 22:30

Frecciaclub: 6:30 - 22

(Electronic ticket machines are open 24/7, except during "down" times, as long as the station is open).

REMEMBER that it's often faster to use the Freccia mobile desk in the center of the station departure platforms (instead of going to the staffed ticket windows) if needing to CHANGE a reservation for a Frecciarossa or Frecciargento train without any monetary exchange. This includes situations where you MISS your reserved Freccia train by less than 60 minutes, or are HOPING to obtain a waiver of the forfeiture rule for discounted promotional tickets on Freccia trains ("ECONOMY" and "SUPER ECONOMY"). The Freccia mobile desks do not provide service for holders of Intercity or regionale train tickets.

More complex customer assistance issues should be addressed at the Customer Assistance Office alongside track 5.
