Traveling to Cardiff, Wales

Jump to last reply

I'm from Montreal and I've recently confirmed that I will be travelling to Cardiff, Wales next year to visit some friends. I will be travelling from Montreal to Cardiff with a connecting flight as well as a 90 minute layover in Amsterdam. It will be my first time travelling internationally, but I'm not sure how the whole layover and connecting flight would work. Would I have to go through customs while in Amsterdam, and get all my baggage checked again? Also after getting to my final destination, will it be blatantly obvious as to where I should go to retrieve my luggage? I haven't been on a plane since I was a baby, so I wouldn't know.
Thank you!
