I am currently planning a trip to Europe for my brother and I this summer. My brother is 15 and is interested in history, he wants to go to Bruges.
In doing research i don't know if I am looking for the wrong thing, but I would like to make it a day trip between Amsterdam and Paris, the only problem is we will have all of our luggage. I can't find any information on the trainstation of if they have lockers for luggage.
If any one has ideas on how this city could be possible to visit under the circumstances please let me know.

The Bruges train station has left luggage facilities and self-operated lockers.
However, do you realize that
Amsterdam - Bruges is 4 hours by train
and
Bruges - Paris is 2.5 hours by train
plus
the Bruges train station is about a 20-min walk into the town center on foot.
You'll be spending at least 7.5 hours traveling for this Bruges "day trip".
In addition, unless you are using some sort of a rail pass, this train excursion won't be cheap.
Tell your brother that he can go visit Bruges by himself when he's older. Bruges has not changed much for the last 600 years. I'm sure it won't change much in the next 10-20 years.
Summer is not a great time to visit Bruges as it's overwhelmed by tourists, especially daytrippers from nearby Brussels or even Paris. The best way to see Bruges is to visit off-season and stay at least one night.
I did realize it was out of the way, however I though about 2-2.5 from both cities, but thank you for pointing that out.
Another option: take him to Delft instead as a day trip while you're in Amsterdam. You can leave your luggage back in your accommodations.

We have done Bruges as a daytrip from Paris. You don;t have to schlep the luggage.
I prefer the train via Lille-Flandres over going into Brussels.
