traveling from Bologna to Varenna by train- question about Parma

Jump to last reply

Thanks to everyone here at Fodors, I've been working successfully on our spring trip to Italy.
We've decided to leave the car at the Bologna airport and travel by train (shuttle into the city area) for the rest of the trip.

My question is, since we will be traveling by train from Bologna to Varenna in the morning, will we be able to drop our luggage somewhere to spend a few hours in Parma?

I believe the trip to Varenna should take under 3 hours. Not sure if there is a transfer or if it goes directly to Varenna.

Thanks to all.
