You will have to take a bus to Agios Konstantinos ( about 2 hours away from Athens) and take a boat from there to Skopelos.
There is also a bus that departs from Athens to Ag. Konstantinos and arrives on time for the ferry departure, but i can't remember which travel agency is selling it.
If it's later in July booking in advance is highly recommended.
There is also an Olympic Air flight from Athens to Skiathos, and a short ferry ride from there to Skopelos. Only one flight per day, and it seems to alternate between very early morning and late afternoon/evening. Chances are the bus suggested by clausar would be more convenient.
