Traveling alone to France, Netherlands and Germany!

Jump to last reply

Ok so this is my first time traveling not only out of the USA but also on my own. I planned on going to three cities: Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin. I will be staying in hostels along the way and travel between cities either on bus or train (most likely train). I will travel for a total of 17 days and spend about 6 days in Paris and Amsterdam and five in Berlin. I guess I want advice on what to do at each city. I mean I've looked at tourist attractions like Eiffel tower and Versailles in Paris, the canals and parks and museums in Amsterdam and Berlin the memorials and museums as well. But, what else is there to do for me to do while I am out there alone or any advice on how to enjoy myself on my own.

Also, a little about myself, I am a 22 year old male. I just finished university so this is a gift to myself since it is something I've always wanted to do. I love history and museums but also enjoy going out or doing weird things I guess. It takes a lot to bore me essentially is what I am getting at so I am willing to go out of my way and try something that's odd like taking a tour of the sewer system in Paris or whatnot. I also don't mind leaving the cities themselves if there is something to do in a city or close by where I can take a day trip out of the city center.

Thanks a lot!
