Hello I am a 34 American woman traveling through Ireland 2/14-2/20. I am arriving in Dublin and departing from Shannon. I am unsure of my iterinary and am looking for suggestions. I thought to stay in Dublin for a couple of days and eventually make my way by train to Doolin and the Cliffs but have no idea what I should do next. I want to see the "real" Ireland and be in places where I will feel comfortable alone...
Thanks

I'd suggest you take some bus tours. I've always found it easy to talk to my fellow passengers when I've done that.
Maybe you'll find crazymina's trip report helpful. It's a few years old, but was a single traveler.
