Travel to London/ Scotland & Ireland Aug 2016

Jump to last reply

Hello- Questions about family trip (Husband/ Wife & 3 teenage boys) to UK/ Scotland and Ireland in Aug 2016.

Questions:

1. Europeans vacation in August. Will this pose a problem for a possible trip in Aug (only time we can travel this year)? What sort of issues might we encounter?
2. We will have about 10-12 days. Looking for a high level plan for entry points into this area and exit points out. Our city (Cincinnati) has direct flights into Paris but we would need to make a connecting flight into London.
3. Seeking recommendations on high level plan for bases in the 3 areas.
4. Looking for pointers to sites and resources to begin the process of researching hotels/ apartments/ b&b's, things to do etc.
