Has anyone used the Travel Time Agency in New York recently. We're thinking about asking them to book air and land for travel from the U.S. to Ljubljana-Istria-Venice.

We just recently used them to help with our itinerary planning and accomodations for our trip to Croatia in June. We used our own frequent flier miles to secure our airline tix. Normally, we do not use a travel agent. But with Croatia, we definately wanted some expertise.
The travel agent that we used is from Istria and is very knowledgable about the country, logistics of ferry transportation, points of interest, hotels, etc.
Once we tweaked the itinerary a bit, we looked on line at the hotels that she proposed to see if they would meet our expectations. Made a couple of changes.
I know their web site has package trips, but we chose to be independent and stay in some nicer places.
Sounds like you'll have a great trip.
We used them to buy tickets from DC to Dubrovnik in October and saved about $500 each.
We used for air and accomodation on trip to Split/Hvar and Dubrovnik.
Overall helpful and certainly saved on airfare.
However I was not impressed with lodging, couldn't get much information ahead and don't feel they listened really to my critera. For example we were 5 people and place in Hvar was very very small with very small outdoor space. Dubrovnik was relatively far from anything for easy walking (we had 2 small kids so this was important).
I felt a lot of pressure to get accomodations as my little bit of internet research showed things were getting booked. The folks at TT fed that sense of urgency by suggesting not much was available...so I felt I couldn't push too much for more information, sense of choice around lodging.
If I had more lead time (vs the 8-10 weeks I had while also trying to plan a major move) I would have rather booked lodging myself.
