Travel insurance, interruption or cancelation?

Jump to last reply

I am going to France for 5 weeks next summer. I am mostly concerned that a close relative might might pass away, either sometime before or during my trip. With minamal concerns that my 2 sons (ages 18 & 22 / both responsible) at home might accidentally burn down the house! :) I understand that I could be covered by "Cancel for Any Reason" insurance, and that is extra. But what about the policies that include a death? (Travel Guard) I only want to cover my non refundable airfare... Also It is my understanding that even with insurance, I would not get all the money back? So the best option would be?
