I was wondering if anyone who has been to Ireland can give recommendations for 4 star hotels in Dublin. My husband and I would like to be near but not on top of the action. Good walking distance from most popular sites, shopping, and restaurant area. Also, we will be driving from there to the Ring of Kerry. Any good suggestions for itineraries and Manor Homes or Bed and Breakfast?

Pembroke Townhouse..a 15 minute walk from St. Stephen's Green and Graftomn Street, located in Ballsbridge, has parking and an Irish breakfast.. DH and I loved our stay and reserved a room for DD and Her Dh for their anniversary trip.
They loved it also. Trip Advisor has it 33rd (I think) of Dublin hotels.
That's Grafton Street...
soods: 4 star doesn't really tell us much. What is your budget?
We like staying at the Westbury - very central and easy to walk to almost all sites. A lovely traditional hotel that always seems to offer discounts off season. But - not sure what your budget is.
We stayed at Trinity College Hotel and thought it was fantastic. Our luggage didn't arrive until day 2 but the staff took great care of us. Only a 5 minute walk to the Temple Bar and Grafton Street. Quiet, great breakfast, decent rooms, fantastic staff, good location -- check them out.
