Travel from Bellagio to Milan Airport

I will be in Bellagio, Italy in the Lake Como region. We need to get back to the Milan Airport. What is the best route to take? I've checked the Rail Europe website for possible train schedules, and will probably need to leave from the Como S Giovanni station. How to I get from Bellagio to there??

Then, once I get to Milan, I need to get to the Milan Airport (MXP). Thanks.

There are 3 ways to do it but none are easy. Last time we just bit the bullet and hired a driver door to door---about 180E.

Ferry from Bellagio to Como Lago station - this tiny station is relatively close to the ferry pier, while S. Giovanni is up an hill and distant from the lake. Then Ferrovie nord train (this is not a Trenitalia line!) to Saronno. Change train in Saronno to Malpensa expess. No need to go to Milan and then backtrack to Malpensa.

See above.
They all involve 3 legs of transport.

One other method involves a shorter ferry ride, but train travel all the way into Milan: Ferry from Bellagio to Varenna just across the lake. Walk up the hill to the Varenna-Esino train station and catch a train to Milano Centrale. From there you can take a train or shuttle bus to Milano Malpensa. This would take about 3 hours to make all these connections. I would NOT want to make all these connections to get to a morning flight.

The answer from asps is almost perfect. The bus from Bellagio to Como may be the better solution, however.
Timetable: use http://www.muoversi.regione.lombardia.it/planner/ and enter from Bellagio to Aeroporto Malpensa Terminal 1 (or Terminal 2 for low cost airlines). Click then on the arrow beside the number of the solution and you get the complete timetable.

Your options may be limited by the time you need to be at Malpensa.

But, here's one more... a shared shuttle van service which would cost 100 euros for 2 people.
