Need info on public transport ways/problems? to get from either of these two cities to the Mont.
Want to overnight at the Mont and then return.
Ideas on restaurants/hotels on the Mont would also be appreciated.
Travel from Bayeux or Rouen to Mont. St Michel

There are two or three trains daily from Bayeux to Pontorson, with a journey time of about two hours. From Pontorson, you need to take a local bus or taxi to Mont St Michel.
From Rouen, it's much further and you'd need to change in Caen, or go via Paris.
Train times are on www.bahn.de.
