travel fan 220v?

I have been searching for a small desk top fan to travel with that is 220V but cannot find one (don't really want to use converter all night). I have collected lots of other 220V or dual voltage travel items over the years but for some reason, I can't find a fan. I sleep with a ceiling fan and hotels in Europe don't have them, therefore I need to bring my own. I have tried the small battery fan but the batteries have a 7 to 8 hour life and I don't want to bring a case of batteries. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Go to Amazon and search for fan USB desk. Plug the fan into your USB charger. If you have a multi port charger you can plug in the fan and other items . Phone or whatever. Unless you want a full size fan done

I'm a fan fanatic and have been my whole life. What is most important to you...wind or sound. Two trips ago our first stop was London and we bought a small oscillating fan at an electronics store downtown.

But if it's more about the sound then I have a recommendation for a product I just found out about. For my birthday a friend bought me a SNOOZ white noise machine. I've NEVER wanted a white noise machine and usually scoff at people who play a tiny sound on their phone to fall asleep. But the difference with this product is the sound is produced by an actual fan. It's not electronic sound...it's a fan sound. The device is very small but can produce an incredible amount of sound. The type of sound is adjustable by rotating the outer shell to change it from a higher pitched sound to a lower pitched woosh. With tweaking you can reproduce the sound of many fans. And it's voltage is 100 - 240 so you only need an adapter. You can check it out at https://getsnooz.com/products/snooz-...hoCI0oQAvD_BwE

I have used a white noise machine for years, both at home and when I travel, for sleep. I recently found an app for my phone that offers the same thing - so one less thing to travel with! I put the phone in airplane mode, turn on the white noise app, and go to sleep.

Here's a small fan that might work as an actual fan:

Actually, it is both. I have had a white noise machine since I discovered them over 15 years ago. I do like the one you suggested thou interference when I travel with it.
About the USB port fan - I found some but I am having a hard time understanding how this works without frying the fan. Would this be an example?

That fan looks to me exactly what the OP is looking for, but the pictures puzzle me. Though the text shows it is 220 volt, the photos show a North American type plug, which is used IME only for 110 volt supply. You would need an adapter plug at the minimum.

Yeah, I saw the US-style plug too. But I'd assume the OP would want an adapter anyway for other devices. The adapters are cheap and small, useful for phones etc. This only a 10 watt fan so won't draw any power to speak of.

I have a bunch of adapters. I guess the thing I don't understand is what makes a USB fan able to handle the voltage coming out of the wall. I fried a non- dual voltage hairdryer in Russia many years ago because I had the adapter on the plug but forgot about the converter. With a few seconds, the high voltage fried the motor sending smoke out of end. Since that trip, I have bought things that state dual voltage (like a hair dryer) and only use the adapter. I just trying to understand why a USB fan can be used with a converter.

The one I linked to wasn't a USB fan - it must have a tiny transformer inside. USB uses DC 5 volts. You'd be plugging a USB fan into something that is already converting 220v AC down to 5V DC, like a common USB charger.

An USB fan uses an USB charger. The charger handles the voltage not the fan. It's no different then your phone . At least today most phones are USB charged. If you have a multi USB port charger you can charge the phone. Run the fan. Charge a tablet. Charge a camera. Charge whatever uses USB

For example that would handle the voltage

Thank you for the explanation! I tried ordering that one but it states on my Amazon account, "doesn't ship to USA".
I think I found something that will work.
Is this the same thing if I use adapter?

How about one with four USB ports instead of just two?

That looks good. So all I need is an adapter and I'm good I'm assuming!
I'm just remembering our last trip to Europe 5 years ago and that some of the adapters were loose in the wall and would come out easily. Is there a particular brand that is less likely to be loose?

>>Is there a particular brand that is less likely to be loose?the socket, not the plug.
