Sighishoara (note the "sh" in pronunciation) is a small town, where Vlad Dracula is purported to have been born. There is a house with a plaque that proclaims this, but in speaking with several of the townspeople, the doubt is alive.
There are a few lively bar/restos in town where something goes on all week long during the heavier tourist season. In October, I dunno
of any special events...
I recommend staying at Casa Wagner to get the traditional feel of old Romania. Their resto is OK, too. Rooms are quite large. We loved the atmosphere....I was leading a group of 16 and they all enjoyed our brief stay in Sig. Wear comfortable and sturdy shoes, the streets are all pieces of stone, with many broken ones about.

Enjoy.

I'm pretty sure that Clifton was in Sighisoara on October 31 and there was nothing at that time. Here is a link to Clifton's trip report:

From our experience, the town doesn't try to capitalize on the Dracula connection.

Halloween is not a Romanian tradition but was adopted just like Valentine's Day after the revolution. The only party I know of featured Anthony Bourdain being miserable in Bran, and while I did not agree with the tone of the show, that 'party' did look strange.

We were in Rome on Oct. 31. There was a pub crawl, organized by someone?, that was primarily American 20 somethings in makeshift costumes. The distances between pubs was so great that most people dropped out and went their own way.
