transportation to civitavecchia

We are trying to find tranportation from the rome airport (incoming) to the port of civitavecchia to pick up a cruise ship. Since we did not choose the cruise lines air transportation, they want $150 to pick us up at the airport. Is there a bus or shuttle that goes directly to the port. It seems the trains all go into Rome first. Thanks.

Take the train from Fiumicino airport (Leonardo Express), get off at Termini Station and then take a train that stops at Civitavecchia. You can purchase the tickets directly at Fiumicino train station at the Trenitalia ticket counter where they are going to give you the schedule of the connection from Termini to Civitavecchia. Check out though that the train that stops in Civitavecchia might be directed either to Orte or Viterbo or Florence or some other town, so ask to be given the number of the train you need to take, and once at Termini check out either on the screens or on the yellow posters.
Remember to validate both tickets at the yellow machines at the beginning of the platforms. Also, be aware that trains arrive at Civitavecchia station and then you must either take a cab to the pier (good and quicker solution) or a bus (too much of a hassle especially if you have luggage). The train ride from Termini to Civitavecchia takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes whereas from Fiumicino to Termini about 30 minutes. Consider also that the Leonardo Express arrives at platform 24 or 26 at Termini. When you get off grab a cart and put your luggage there, because you must walk about 5-7 minutes in order to arrive at the beginning of the station where all the other trains leave.
I would also consider a transfer with private car like limoservice because they will drive you directly to Civitavecchia. Contact them for fares at www.limoservice.com

Yes.

Train schedules are at www.trenitalia.com/en

You want Roma aeroporto to Rome and Rome to Civitavecchia.

Haven't you ever heard the expression "all roads lead to Rome"? Well the same is true of train tracks!
