Transportation Question: Airport to The Grand
To get to The Grand from the airport, I see that we can take the train to Central Station, but then what should we do? Do we need to link to a tram? or a Taxi? There will be two of us medium size rolling bag each. We are more than willing to walk if the walk is not too long. I looked into th Airport Hotel Shuttle bus, but they do not list The Grand on their list of hotels.

I'm sorry, but which airport and which Grand Hotel? Unfortunately, although you may have chosen a country when you created your message, it doesn't show up that way here.
Do you mean The Grand in Vienna? Or perhaps Amsterdam (guessing that from the Central Station reference).

Assume by "The Grand" you are referring to the Krasnapolsky...
It is about a five-block walk from Centraal Station to the hotel. You could get a taxi (they may not want to take you that short distance but, by regulation/law they cannot refuse to do so) or you could take a tram although which number I am not certain of.
There is a bus service (from Schiphol)that might drop you directly in front although I usually take the train into the city from the airport. If you do the train, do NOT under any circustances leave any luggage unattended near the train doors (people have been known to reach in when the train stops at Sloterdijk and grab luggage and run).
Have a great trip.
