My husband & I are leaving leaving Praiano to arrive at Naples airport for flight out early morning @ 6:30 a.m. Probably have to arrive there about 3:30 a.m. Can anyone suggest if it would be better to hire a car for travelling at night or to stay somewhere closer to airport for a shorter trip to airport via taxi or shuttle (taking into consideration time of day)? Also your reasons for your suggestions? Thanks!

My choice would be to stay either in the city of Naples or near the airport.
Not sure if it is necessary to arrive at the airport 3 hours early for a 6:30 AM flight, but I would still leave Priano the night before, and not be rushed in the morning.
Naples airport isn't open overnight (it may not be closed tight but there are no departure between about 10PM and after 6AM) so if you are there at 0330 you will be very lonely.
But even w/ a more realistic 0500 arrival at the airport, you will want to stay near the airport that night.
