Transportation from Madrid Airport to Opera station

Jump to last reply

As part of a multi-city European trip, DH and 18 yo DD will arrive in Madrid via Lufthansa from Munich on a Sat night. I'm having trouble finding recent posts about transportation from the airport to the Opera station which is very near their accommodations. I did see one post about a 'yellow bus' for €5 each but not where to pick that up, if tickets are purchased online, etc. I can see how they can take the train with multiple changes but am not sure of the cost. It looks to be in Zone A which implies a single ticket for each of them would do the trick. Is that the case? Even still, I'm a bit hesitant to have them go that route anyway due to the multiple changes and the time of night. I did find 5+ year older posts about taxis and cost but nothing in the last year or so to gauge if that will be worthwhile given the time of night. Thanks in advance for any additional info you can supply to help us get this figured out.
