transportation from dublin to belfast. Belfast to galway.

Hello. I am wondering what is the best way to get from Dublin airport to Belfast city center? I had assumed a train or bus would be best but I am having difficulty figuring out how to do it. Is there something direct? Is there a bus from the airport to a main bus or train station? How often are trains to belfast etc.
Also going from Belfast to Galway,on a quick Google search it resulted in going back to dublin before heading to Galway, is this unavoidable?
Any help on understanding and working the transportation system would be appreciated thank you!

Idk if days of travel will make a difference but:
Dublin airport to belfast on 5/22 thursday
Belfast to Galway on 5/24 Sunday

http://www.journeyplanner.transportf..._TRIP_REQUEST2 will give best options.

Belfast direct from Dublin airport is easy, operated by two companies don't pre book just get the service that matches you waling out the arrivals door.

Just google Rail Ireland - The train from Dublin goes direct to Belfast. There is no direct shot from Belfast to Galway.

To get the train you first have to get into Dublin. makes little sense really, Belfast to Galway there are cross-country runs that change bus or onto train in Athlone but you will probably be better getting the bus back from Belfast to Dublin Airport for an express bus to Galway from there.

Was in a rush earlier, even missed the k from walking.

I am doing bus over train. Just makes sense time wise.
http://www.aircoach.ie/our-coaches I am using this to get to Belfast and back to Dublin. Go bus in Dublin is great for getting to Galway. Pick it up at the airport.

There are 2 servers on each route, My personal recommendation is to use the bus that is at the stop and not pre book. No point in having a ticket for one service if you have 59 minutes to their next bus just for the sake of a maximum €2.

side note} be aware they use £ Sterling up north and €uro down here.
