Transportation from Dublin airport to Shelboourne Hotel

What's the best mode of travel from the Dublin airport to the Shelbourne Hotel on St Stephens Green? We of course would prefer to be dropped off right at the hotel.
Aircoach...?

Taxi is the most direct and not very expensive compared to the rates at that hotel.

Happily, we got a really good package deal at the hotel.

Almost every hotel lists transport options on their website -- as does the Shelbourne. It mentions the bus, AirCoach and what the cab fare in from DUB should be . . .

Darcie:
Don't think twice, take a taxi and be done with it.

Enjoy the wonders of Ireland. Great location for the hotel with The Green for its front yard.

Remember, it's only money!!

Aircoach provides what is virtually a door-to-door connection, with a stop on Kildare Street, which runs alongside the Shelbourne. http://www.aircoach.ie/fares/route-7...in-city-centre

You can get a taxi from the airport for about 22 pounds. How much less than that is the airport coach for 2 or more people?

Hi DARCIEM,

Lucky you staying at the Shelbourne. I just spent a week at Buswells Hotel just up the street. What are you planning to do/see in Dublin?

Have a great time...

Taxi for 2: about €25 if the driver is honest (in my experience, about 90% likely, but if he is not, it's quite a PITA).

Aircoach for 2: €12 if booked online.

Darcie, you can also buy a leap card and use the airlink bus.

https://www.leapcard.ie/en/(X-(1)S(z...43))/Home.aspx

It is good for the bus, dart and luas. The only problem is the time starts from the first time you use it so you will have to buy a return ticket. We use our leap card a lot so was worth it to us. Not sure if you are going to do the hop on hop off bus with your husband's mobility issues but this is a good option for getting around.
