Um - how are you getting to Capri to begin with? Wouldn't you just reverse it?
we are flying into naples staying in positano then capri.. Capri to rome, rome to paris.. I have most transfers figured out but wasnt sure if anyone had ideas..
The last time I was in Capri.I took the ferry to Naples-
Naples/Rome=Trains
Rome/Paris = Vueling air or Easy jet..You will be in Paris in 2 hours.
Thank you... I wasnt sure if there was a ferry from capri to naples..Do you have the name of the ferry service??

Many Thanks!!!!!
kimber,
When you arrive at the ferry terminal in Naples, you will then need to get to the train station. I suggest a taxi.
Another thought is to take a ferry from Capri to Salerno.
In Salerno, you'd then take the train to Rome.
This is also a good option as Salerno is relatively traffic free, and it will probably be cheaper and easier to get a taxi from the ferry to the train station.
The train station in Salerno is small and easy to navigate.
Thank you!!! I will check it out..
kimber22 we are also planning on a trip for the summer similar. We were going to fly into Naples first and take a car service to Positano. Stay in Positano for three nights and then take ferry to Capri, also staying three nights. Ferry to Naples, taxi to train station and train to Rome, staying three nights. I was just curious to see if this is similar for your trip or too much traveling in a short time. I haven't book anything yet so am flexible. That salerno option looks attractive.
kimber, when are you traveling? In early spring and late autumn (and winter), rough seas can cause the ferries to be cancelled, especially the Positano to Capri one. But I'd be more worried about the Capri - Naples link since the rest of your travel depends on it. Fortunately, you're not flying home immediately. It's always good to allow a little wiggle room when traveling in Italy. Things always seem to happen: strikes, power outages, etc.
Thank you, for all you responses..
Frankgia, I think we are trying to put a little more in our travel then we would like... We are going to enjoy the trip and HOPE we get to see a lot... Im also keeping in mind that hopefully we will return soon!!! The ferry to Salreno sounds like a good option to me too... Have a great trip!!!!
