Transportation From Barcelona to Venice

Jump to last reply

My DH and I will be in Barcelona on 4/16, and need to get to Venice in 6 days, by 4/22. We have never traveled independently in Europe and could use some suggestions, other than flying, on how to get to Venice. I have been looking around, and know that train travel is one way, but have no clue how to book it. I have also found a boat/ship that goes from Barcelona to that practical, and how would we cross Italy to arrive in Venice?? Is that waaayyyy too much hassle??

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated; this forum has always been a huge help to planning our trips, so I thank you in advance!!
