Would appreciate most convenient and reasonably-priced means to get to our hotel in the 7th Arr. from CDG. Travelling with 4 other seniors.

This is the one that I use:

This might not be the cheapest way to get to where you are going, but for me it is THE way to do it! Your driver will be at the exit with your name on a sign. He will take your luggage and you will be transported, privately, with your group to your hotel/apt.
We are seniors too and just returned. We took the RER and found it to be inexpensive, quick and easy if you are not dragging too much luggage. I believe you will have to change to the metro at some point but the metro will be covered on the same RER ticket.
Quantity of luggage should be the deciding factor, as well as how mobile are the 'seniors' -- in TV commercials they always look like they are about 48 years old once they have found the proper denture product to be able to eat apples and corn on the cob.
Thanks to both respondents. Gracejoan Thanks for the web address. I think I will feel comfortable with the inter shuttle since one of our members in incapacitated. Merci!
I think you will be pleased. You are tired upon arrival and to see that person with the sign when you exit is most comforting! No calls to make..nothing! So, it costs a bit more..so what, you deserve it!!
kerouac...you do keep us smiling..you also do a great job of keeping us informed re the strikes..we thank you!!
The choices would be:
Taxi
Shuttle
RER train (to St Michel stop, with switch along the way to Metro OR other RER line OR taxi from RER station)
Air France bus to drop off point (Montparnasse would probably be closest...followed by Metro ride OR taxi)
Roissybus to Opera stop (followed by Metro ride OR taxi)
Cheapest would be RER, most expensive taxi from CDG.
The determining factor would be luggage, having to possible walk with luggage along corridors, and comfort level taking public transport. Last trip I took RER from CDG to the 16th. I had one large bag with wheels. I had to switch from the RER tain to the Metro. Going back I took the Metro to Montparnasse railway station and took the Air France bus.
