Transfer from CDG to hotel near Opera

We need to transfer from CDG to the Hotel France Albion near the Opera in Paris. I'm wondering about current options and prices for 2 people. We do not want to take the Metro after such a long trip.

The RoissyBus is 10 euros each. Prices will probably rise 1 July.

But from the Bus stop it is still 30 min walking. Or you would have to walk first to Gare Saint Lazare and take a bus there (line 26, 32, 42 or 43) and then walk again to the hotel (roughly 15 min overall)

Take a cab around 40 Euros or a bit more but you will be tired and a long walk especially if you don't know where yo are going is terrible!

Agree w/avalon: it's a LONG walk from where the Roissybus drops you off, and the route is not at all obvious. Taxi is reasonably priced ( could be a bit higher than 40E if there's traffic.)

If you wanted to save 10-15E, then you could take either the Roissybus to Opera or the RER train to Gare du Nord, then a taxi to the hotel. But, for me, after a long trip, the extra time and inconvenience is not worth the money.

danon -

I've heard that the taxi can be 55 - 65 euros. Worth it to avoid hours in a van or lots of walking after a long flight.

The last taxi ride I took from CDG to Arc de Triomphe was 48€. There was a backup just prior to the périphérique or we would have paid less. I suppose it is possible but I have never paid more than 55€ and that was to CDG which tends to be more as taxi meters are started when the driver is dispatched.

I understand why most folks would want to take the taxi...but my wife and I are usually so excited about being in Paris, that we don't even feel tired (until later in the afternoon, of course).

RER has always worked fine for us -- we have very little luggage.

Just my two cents.

...continued...unfortunatley, for that hotel, it looks to me that RER-Metro is not a good option, due to connection issues.
