I am arriving with swiss air from Amsterdam at 8.25 and my connecting flight to mumbai by swiss air is at 9.45. I am concerned since I have never been to Zurich airport before. I have read about a train transfer. Can anyone let me know if I have sufficient time to reach Gate E 42-67 (gate for mumbai). I have no idea where the swiss flight from Ams will arrive. Beside I have read that one has to go thru passport control from schengen to non-shengen. Pls let me know. tks.

You should be absolutely fine. More than enough time. I've been loving Zurich airport lately. Avoiding CDG every chance I get.
zurich airport is very efficient/
the train is quite fast and comes every few minutes/
there is a count-down clock in the station/
say 'greuzi' to the moo cows/
if your plane from amsterdam is on time you shouldn't have any problems/
i do like swiss air/

Nothing to worry about. Zürich is a beautiful, very efficient airport. Yes, you have to get your passport checked at the Mumbai gate. It won't take more than 2 or 3 minutes.
Be sure to buy some chocolate at the airport at the Sprüngli store.
What train transport???? Are you talking about between terminals? I don't think there is one.
There is a train between terminals, but it is quick and easy. We have transferred a few times on Swiss and it is very efficient. Don't worry.
yes there is a train between terminals at zurich flughafen/
and if you have ever been on it/
you will understand the moo cow reference/

Non-issue. Anything over an hour or so should be enough. Myself, I try to minimize my time at the Zurich airport as, like Zurich itself, it is soulless, overpriced, and unexpectedly small.
