Trains from Frankfurt airport to Berlin
I will be returning from a trip to Kuwait through Frankfurt and would like to take 4/5 days to see Berlin. Can I get the train from the airport station or do I need to leave the airport? Also -- Lufthansa flights are very expsensive and I don't really want to go to Cologne to get to German Wings. Any other thoughts?

No, every 2 hours, e.g. 10:42, 12:42, 14:42, there's a connection on ICE from Frankfurt Airport to Hanover and connect to another ICE to Berlin. Takes 4 hrs 34 min to Berlin Ostbanhorf from Frankfurt Airport, including the 13-min change.

You can leave the airport at almost any minute of the day. There are two stations - the Fernbahnhof for high-speed, long-distance trains, some of which will not require you to change in Frankfurt proper, and the REgionalbahnhof, for local and regional trains that head into Frankfurt proper and require you to change trains there if moving on to BErlin or other distant destinations. The signage in the airport will help you find either station. Just be sure to be at the right station for the particular train you want to take.
