Don't see anything on the Renfe train site, but it looks like the Alsa bus is running.

it is too early to say which trains if any will be running timetables for trains are not released until 62 days before hand and high speed trains -AVE- 120 days.

Do you really want to stay in train during new year night?

Thank you for replies, no I do not really want to travel on New Years Day, but I have 8 nights to enjoy Seville, Granada and Malada. We fly into Seville on the 28th December and out of Malaga on the 5th January, any suggestion of how to divide the time is appreciated and which town would be fun for New Years Eve.

Personally I'd spend 4-5 nights in Sevilla, definately New Year's eve - then Granada for 2 nights and Malaga for 1-2 nights. I wouldn't try to push anymore into 8 days.

If Alsa is running I'd bet the trains are running too. Bus is not a bad option (actually takes the same amount of time with more frequent departures) from Sevilla to Granada - it's actually my preference for this route.

Thanks again for advice, I feel confident there will be some form of public transport after having now read an amount of blogs.
