Train to Melk from Vienna

Jump to last reply

We will be in Vienna in early December. I wanted to visit Melk and take one of the short cruises along the Danube, but the boat lines apparently close during the Winter.

We will still be taking a train from Vienna to Melk, but there are three options: direct, with a stop at Amstetten, and with a stop at St Polten. The times are about the same. Which of these routes is the most scenic?
