train tickets from Paris to Brussels, first class or second class?

Jump to last reply

What is the difference between first class and second class train from Paris to Brussels? Does the second class has non smoking car available? Does the first class come with food and drink? What about the area for luggage? My main concern is not the comfort of the seat since it only takes 1 hour and 20 min. It is the availability of the non smoking car and a safe area for the luggage that I am looking for. We will travel on a Friday around 9am. I check the price for one way ticket, it is 39 Euro for the second class and 69 Euro for the first class.

Also what about the train from Brussels to Bruges. I have not check the price yet. Should we take first class or second class? We will travel on Saturday for a one day trip. I remember someone mention about weekend ticket. How does it work?

This is a short notice trip, don't have much time to plan. Any advise is greatly appreciated!
