worth a mention.....we were in CK some years ago, but i remember taking a great shuttle that left form the youth hostel. (we were not staying ath a hostel... just heard or read about the shuttle.) it was inexpensive, quick, and door-to-door.
i gave a quick check at
http://www.krumlovhostel.com/get-to-...zech-republic/
they don't mention salzburg, but do recommend CK shuttle, which does seem to offer service.

looks like it's about 3 hours, about the same as the bus.
they will take you to your actual hotel.

Easy enough to buy a train ticket at www.cd.cz/eshop with no buses then necessary. You print your own ticket.
A taxi from the town square to the station costs only 100 CZK or so. There's a rustic bar at the station in Cesky Krumlov, you can have an ice cold Kozel while waiting for the train!
You take the branch line train to Cesky Budejovice - more familiar by its old German name, Budweis, yes, where the name of the beer comes from!
Smart comfortable air-con cars link Ceske Budejovice with Linz, then a modern railjet with WiFi & restaurant car runs Linz-Salzburg.
