Train from Dublin to N. Ireland
I need to get to Dundrum, New Castle in County Down.
I will be staying at the Adams Trinity Hotel in Dublin on the 3rd leaving the 4th. Does anyone know if a train goes directly up to Dundrum?

Hi Brennan,
While I've never been and can't answer your question about a train, there are definitely buses you can take from Dublin to Dundrum - you can use Bus Eireann's journey planner to map it out. I did a search, and the journey time would be just over 3 hours, with one change of bus in Newry.

You can go by train from Dublin to Newry (Dublin - Belfast Enterprise), and from Newry you get a bus to Dundrum.
To check out trains to Newry www.irishrail.ie . It is a lovely train journey. I presume you are not trying to do this as a day trip? You probably could do it by getting early train.
