Train from Bruges to Paris

I am looking to book a trip from Bruges to Paris in November. I will be leaving Bruges on a saturday morning. I found the sites that offer trains from Bruges to Paris thru Brussels and Lille. My question is how far is the station Lille Flanders to Lille Europe. I have a 30 minute arrival- departure time between trains. Is this enough time. Also, is there any difference between which route is best. I will be traveling with 4 adults so handling luggage won't be a concern. Thanks for any input.

Not sure I understand your post. Do you WANT to go the long way around, via Brussels and Lille (because maybe you want to get off in both locations and sightsee)?

Then by all means book those trains and make the station transfer in Lille (Google Maps will show you the exact locations and distances, or www.viamichelin.com or www.mappy.com).

But if you have no such reasons for making it a three-parter, take Thalys as suggested, board once and get to Paris-Nord in about 2:33h without further ado..

All your options are at http://plannerint.b-rail.be/bin/query.exe/en?L=profi& - then go to the Thalys site to book if that's what you decide on.

Not knowing how to get back into my previous post to edit some unfortunate wording of mine, let me point out here that the Thalys from Bruges to Paris-Nord also goes via Bruxelles where you can interrupt the journey if you wish (and if you made your reservations accordingly), but the Thalys does not go via Lille.

Thanks for the response DalaiLama. I was looking for the shortest and easiest way to Paris. I arrive in Brussels on wednesday and we are staying overnight. Then 2 days in Bruge, so we are not looking to sightsee along the way. So if I understand your post, I board the Thalys in Bruges direct to Paris. Is this correct.

Yes. Again - look them up at http://plannerint.b-rail.be/bin/query.exe/en?L=profi& and www.thalys.com

Be careful! Direct Thalys trains from Bruges to Paris depart at 06:26 Monday-Saturday (no service on Sunday). There is also direct service on Saturdays at 18:05, but not on any other day of the week. For any other time of day you'll need to go to Brussels and catch a Thalys train there.

To get the best fare, book your ticket ASAP (up to 90 days allowed) at www.thalys.com. If you end up having to take an IC train from Bruges to Brussels, include the ABS (any Belgian station) add-on when you book your Thalys ticket. That will cover your ride from Bruges to Brussels.
