Train & Bus or Car Rental?

Jump to last reply

We have searched everywhere for an answer to this question with no clear results. You've all been so helpful and can possibly help steer us in the correct direction.

We'll be in Paris for two months staying in Montmarte. Our daughter is playing volley-ball all year in Neuville-aux-Bois, Loiret, just northeast of Orleans. There are approximately 5 games on Sundays in Neuville-aux-Bois that we would like to see. There is a train to Orleans (Les Aubrais) from Paris and then a bus to Neuville. The train if we book now is approximately 26 euro rt and the bus 10 euro rt.

We will also be taking day trips to Giverny, Fontainebleau, Versailles and Aubers-sur-Oise.

Is there a train pass that would be cheaper?

Does it make more sense to rent a car for the trips to Neuville? And would it make most sense to rent that car out of Orly? Have not checked the prices, yet. Wanting to see if there is a train pass, first.

Thank you, as always, for your kind and generous help!
