Train - How long from Venice to Rome?

Another question - Does the Eurostar travel from Venice to Rome and if so, how long does it take?
Thanks!

The Eurostar does travel between Venice and Rome. It takes about 4 1/2 hours.

Check out trenitalia.com for schedules.

Happy travels!

There's also an overnight train (an ICN, not a Eurostar) that takes around seven hours.

Hi rb,

THE Eurostar is the train that links London to Paris and Brussels.

Italy has high-speed trains - ES* - that they call eurostar.

Schedules and tickets are at www.trenitalia.com

Thank you for the reminder Ira - I have been searching for posts about "which" train was a higher speed train or the trains with less stops, etc, and couldn't pull up anything. We will train from Florence to Venice.

The ES train it is, thanks.

And enjoy your trip, rbnwdln!

Oh, I thought the Eurostar (London/Paris) and the Italian eurostar were somehow related. We have taken both and I know I wanted the fastest train, so will look at trenitalia. Thanks!
