If you have time in your itinerary, I think it is nice to do both. The guided tour includes a lot of good information on both modernisme architecture and the Orfeó Català and Catalan choral society tradition. The tour and concert are different experiences, and I enjoyed doing both. BUT, if you have a packed itinerary already, at least you will still see the phenomenal building! (one of my favorite moderisme sites!)

I have done both - I don't think it's necessary to take a guided tour if you're already attending a concert there. Just get there early so you'll have time to wander around the auditorium.
No photos allowed inside the auditorium - either on guided tour or during a concert.

I agree with YK. The casual restaurant has good tapas. We ate there prior to a concert. The only advantage of taking the tour earlier is that we didn't need to bring a camera to the concert. It was a highlight (the concert & the venue) of our trip.
