Husband is not interested in seeing the Gerome/Cappadocia region. He prefers to remain in Istanbul while I fly to Kayseri and get the airport shuttle to Gerome. I have planned 2 full days in Gerome. Being a senior citizen and a woman alone (at least for Gerome), I would like to join a tour or tour group for my two days in the area rather than sightseeing on my own. Recommendations for a guide or a tour would be greatly appreciated. Also, any concerns regarding me doing this alone without hubby? Thank you.

I wouldn't be worried traveling there alone. But if your husband is in good shape, he might want to reconsider -- the hikes -- both peaceful and educational -- and incredible landscape turned it into one of my most treasured memories!
We stayed at Les Maisons de Cappadoce and the owner, Jacques, arranged the guide services of a local who knew the history and locations of all the hidden churches. It was a very special experience.
Have a WONDERFUL trip!
I am sorry I can not make good recs as DH and I just hired a driver each afternoon to take us places. DH was not really interested either, but I persuaded him and it turned out to be one of his favorite adventures. So, if you can work on your DH a bit and convince him to go, he might be very glad afterwards.
