Looking for a tour company that goes to Kinderijk and the tulip fields in later part of April. Found a couple, but they charge $750.00 for one day. Seems a bit high. Willing to take a bus, but traveling by train with transfers etc. is a bit much for us two older duffers. Thanks for any help you can give us.

Trains in Holland are very convenient and easy to use. I suggest that you go to the Zaanse Schans for windmills. It is much closer to Amsterdam. The Zaanse Schans is about a 15 minute walk from the Koog-Zaandijk train station, which is about 20 minutes from Amsterdam Centraal station.
Virtually everybody speaks excellent English and the Dutch are always very helpful to Americans if you need assistance.
For Keukenhof you can take a train to Haarlem or Leiden and a special bus from either station direct to the flowers. I'm a geezer and rode a bike from Haarlem five years ago. See my photolog at http://tinyurl.com/y8hltjl.
Oh yes, beautiful pictures of tulips and other blooms! Several years ago was when we went to Keukenhof...yes also to seeing Zaanse Schans and Leiden with its citadel and Pilgrim's house and also Delft, Hoorn, The Hague and more. Accesible by trains from Amsterdam. And of course much in Amsterdam.
