Once again we're gathered around the TV at an ungodly hour of the a.m. here on the
West Coast to watch the Tour.
It started in Belgium this year and although we've been to Antwerp and Brussels many
moons ago we've never had any desire to go back to the Low(est) Country - until now.
Liege and Tounai look enchanting and the countryside seems to overflow with castles.
Of course, it helps that the weather is summerish (I was there in a wet dismal October)
but we may just take a break from the Med. areas and wander through the Benelux
based solely on what we've seen so far in the Tour.
Oh, and, GO RYDER!

Yes, between Wimbledon and the Tour, not much else getting done around here. On the Tour telecasts, they REALLY do a job on the scenery!! Fun fun.
Our kids went one time, and were on the Col d'aspin when all 4 of the "jerseys" passed by. GREAT picture. I just wish the crazies wouldn't get so close to the riders.
Yes, enjoying the coverage as usual. Fortunately here the race is during our evening - rugged up in the cold enjoying the scenery and the action and adding yet more locations to the "must-see" list. So far Tournai and the coastline have made the list Rouen was already there.
oh, and a barge cruise or two would be fun.
