The Cliffs of Moher. Just hope for a clear day and be sure to hang on to your camera if you head up there on a windy day.

I especially liked Kylemore Abbey in late May - the wild azaleas are out (or are they wild rhododendrons?) and the flowers are just everywhere - I took a lovely shot of the Abbey, with the rhodos and lake forming a realyl beautiful "frame"... <BR> <BR>

I second Kylemore Abbey. I have a great shot of it in the fog. <BR> <BR>My other favorite is Dunluce Castle on the Antrim Coast road. It's more ruins than a castle, but it's breathtaking, and spooky.

I have some photographs of Dun Aengus on Inishmoor that take my breath away each time I see them (and make me ache to go back!).

I agree with the Cliffs of Moher. I also really liked the colorful doors in Dublin.

Good list. I agree with ALL of the above plus -- Yeat's grave, Clew Bay from the top of Croagh Patrick on a clear day, thatched cottages, anywhere along the Antrim Coast, Carrick-a-rede Bridge while someone you know (or you) are crossing it.

I would second the harbor overlooking Kinsale...very nice picture that I am looking at now. <BR> <BR>Cliffs of Moher definitely, the castles, teh pubs. Also in the Connemara region the Twelve Bens (I belive that is what they are called)..some days you can get impressive photos of them. <BR> <BR>Kylemore Abbey..definitely. <BR>Rock of Cashel..incredible, especially at night if you can get it right...the castle sits up on a hill and is quite a site as it dominates the towns skyline. <BR> <BR>The beaches and cliffs at Tramore looking back to the town. <BR> <BR>Pretty much everywhere you point your camera is "picturable"..went two years ago and want to go back more and more every day.

My favorite when my wife and I honeymooned in Ireland 10 years ago was a pic we took of a young boy with his donkey and his dog riding the donkey.

Charlie Girl - I actually just took the photos to Wal-Mart and they made the calendar for me. (They usually have a special on just before Christmas). The same Christmas my husband had a mouse pad made for me (I think it was at Shoppers Drug Mart) with one of our favourite pictures of the little cottage from the Quiet Man in Co. Mayo just outside Cong. My sister did something similar (a calendar) last year with B&W photos of our great/grandparents and other relatives using her own scanner and I think Quark or Adobe Photoshop (software packages). When it came time to bind them she took them to the local Copy Magic store. A real keepsake.

Wish I had had a camera for this typical Irish moment: I noticed a long line of traffic coming toward me as I was driving, and it wasn't until I got closer that I could tell what was creating the hold up. It was a man, driving a fork lift, backwards, on the main road into/out of town.

Kylemore Abbey for buildings and surrounding landscape. As for towns, there's an overlook near Clifden that gives you a great view over the town that is quite popular.

Just got back from 11 day tour and will do a full report soon, but the best single scenic view we had during the entire trip was the view from the bridge at Mizzen Head.

I liked the view from the bridge at Mizen Head too.Also I really liked the view of Slieve League Cliffs near Kilcar, Co. Donegal,which are supposed to be the highest cliffs in Europe.
