Too many tourists

The Guardian reports that the Earth's population is expect to reach 9,000,000,000 by 2300.

Talk about hordes of tourists.

Too lazy to google it but I believe the population was 1 billion ~1850, 2 billion ~1900, 3 billion in 1960 and is now 6.4 billion.
So it has more than doubled in my lifetime! Regards, Walter

Yes, but the average American will live til 95, so that gives you a lot of time to see everything.

And the the first-class upgrade to the moon on American Airlines will cost you €750,000 and 500,000 miles each way. They'll throw in the pretzels, though.

2300!! I'll be a pile of ashes by then...so tour on everyone.

500000 miles - eeps hopefully they still have more legroom in coach.

I wonder if those tourists will worry about what to wear, about who hates them or will we have homogenized the world - where we all think, act and dress the same

Comment. We have a present problem with fuel supplies and a population of 6.4 B. What can you expect if we do achieve 9.0 B? Some biologists are predicting a sudden reduction of numbers based on historical events. The USA is expecting millions more. The present government is encouraging growth. Most European countries are pursuing low growth aims. Suggestion: Consider moving to Europe.

So the loonies are quietly beginning to grow up.

In 1968, Paul Ehrlich predicted we'd get to 10 billion by 2050.

And people are still listening to him.

It will take quite a bit of growth before the USA reaches the population density of Europe.
