I understand that Toledo would be very difficult to navigate on foot for an athmatic...........Are taxis readily available?.........What about the "escalator"?..........We would like to spend a night in Toledo as we really want to see the Cathedral , Alcazar and the Casa of El Greco, but don't know if I will have access...........Also wondered about the Hostal del Cardenal?........thanks for any suggestions

Hi Lily,
I can only tell you about Hostal del Cardenal. I stayed there a few years ago and I'd certainly stay there again. It is set in a quiet area, has lovely gardens, and is very close to the old part of Toledo. I especially liked our dinner in the garden, under the stars.
You could most probably get taxis from the hotel to any part of the city.
