On our trip to Paris, we want to travel (by metro) to Grande Arch, perhaps around lunch. What is the best day of the week (weekday for bustle, weekend for quiet) and the time of day (morning or evening rush to be avoided?) Where/What are lunch options around the 2 metro stations?

The Grande Arch is a commercial building surrounded by more of the same. Probably mid morning or mid afternoon would be the best times to visit to avoid office workers arriving, goint to lunch or leaving. The main reason to go is to see the three arches (Grande, Triomphe, Carrosel) lined up. I wouldn't go for lunch - go in mid morning and return to a central area of Paris for lunch.
To the left of it is one of the biggest shopping malls in Europe and to the right a smaller shopping mall in the CNIT, a remodeled old exhibition center. There are a number of interesting dining options next to the UGC CinéCité megaplex on the left, up the stairs near the dome (which used to be the largest Imax dome in Europe, but things did not work out).
