Time to travel to Prague, Vienna, and Salzburg starting in Frankfurt

Jump to last reply

My husband and I are planning our first trip to Prague, Salzburg, and Vienna starting in Frankfurt. We will be taking a non-stop flight into Frankfurt from Denver but it is expensive so would like to hear if others have found other flights that would be better to start this trip. We would like to go this spring, 2014 but would like to go when the weather is moderate such as 65-80 degrees. We plan on staying about two weeks and we will probably add some smaller towns inbetween those larger town such as the Eastern part of Switzerland and/ or the Bavarian Alps.
I would appreciate any input as far as weather in those major cities and whether to go in later April, first of May or middle of May. We do not want to be in the middle of any major festivals that go on at any time which I think Prague has some large festivals the middle of May. I have just started reading but would like to book an airline ticket soon before the air fares go up so any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
