TIme to spend stockholm, copenhagen and Amsterdam
We have 10 days to spend between Stockholm, Copenhagen and Amsterdam. I have been reading a lot of posts and most feel Amsterdam is a slam dunk to spend more time in if I did 3, 3, and 4 days
But I saw so much to see and do in Stockholm and much less in Copenhagen (on my list so wondering now if I should do 4 in Stockholm, 2 in Copenhagen and 4 in Amsterdam. I don't want to give Copenhagen the short stick so looking for opinions .. I realize everyone has different tastes
We are nature lovers, also love architecture particularly old architecture. We are not hure museum goers but will go to one or two. Interested more in castles and nature. LIve in NYC so again not too excited about just another big city. I hope that helps,
Thanks.

With those interests, the 4 - 2 - 4 split probably makes more sense -- but will you actually have that many days in each? You'll probably lose some time to jet lag in Stockholm, and you'll lose some time in transit between the cities....

Of the three I preferred Stockholm, but there is plenty to do in Amsterdam too. Click on my name for my recent Scandinavian TR - Amsterdam was a while back. Definitely make time to visit the islands in Stockholm.
I agree, you need to allow for jet lag and travel time.

Oh we will be dealing with our jet lag in NOrway as we will be there for 6 days first. Then on to Stockholm Plan to get an early flight out and its a short flight so will arrive before lunch and have a good part of the day to tour. Also since its June it will be light till fairly late so I think we will have most of the days in each place. Same with the other cities.. will be leaving on early morning flights which are short.
Thursdaysd...you did not say anything about COpenhagen does that mean you agree that 2 days might be ok? It really is amazing what you can squeeze into two days.. we did a lot in Florence and were only there for 2 days.. same with switzerland.

We found almost as much to do in Copenhagen as in Stockholm. Frankly I would want more time in all 3 cities. But what you want seems doable as long as you are not taking transit out of the only 2 days in Copenhagen.

We would be only having about a day and a half in Copenhagen... still might do it will look at what we have on our list and time it out. As I said we were surprised at how much we did in Florence in one and a half days.

Turns out we will have 2 full days in Copenhagen. Decided to leave Stockholm on a late flight out the night before and sleep over in Copenhagen so we can start out fresh the next morning and have 2 full days. SO thoughts on "musts" to see if one has only 2 day and I would very much like to get to see Frederiksborg Palace which I realize will take us out of town and a good part of one day.

Then I suggest that you stay in Haarlem rather than tourist central Amsterdam. Jordan has become too famous. Damrak is curb to storefront mob. Leidseplein is a circus.
OTOH Haarlem's Grote Markt is a classic. The city is walkable. Rent a bike and pedal out to Bloemendaal and through the dunes to Zandvoort.
